# What does CTP not cover?

## As AusRehab's CTP (Compulsory Third Party) insurance services are specific to the injury, exclusions apply.

CTP (Compulsory Third Party) insurance does not cover:

- Damage to vehicles or property
- Injuries to the driver at fault in the accident beyond basic medical and care costs
- Legal costs associated with defending or pursuing claims related to property damage or non-injury-related issues

For more comprehensive coverage, separate insurance policies like third-party property or comprehensive vehicle insurance would be needed.

Below is an excerpt from an insurer stating clearly that things are approved for the injury only.

> In short, Mr Johnson\* is happy for the above actions to take place, and he is anticipating Gencare's\* assistive equipment specialist to reach out soon. We hope the equipment specialist will be able to assist in recommending a suitable piece of toileting equipment **for the claimant's injury**.
