# What documentation is required to file a claim?

## Generally you don't need much more than a certificate of capacity (COC).

To lodge a workers compensation claim on [icare](https://portal.icare.nsw.gov.au/claim/lodgement/preliminary-info/), you simply need a [certificate of capacity (COC)](https://knowledge.ausrehab.com/what-is-a-certificate-of-capacity-coc?hsLang=en).

Any additional documentation required will be sent out by the insurer after the claim has been approved.
