You can still receive workers compensation even if the injury was your fault, as long as it occurred during the course of your employment. Under [Section 10](https://classic.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/nsw/consol_act/wca1987255/s10.html) of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, compensation is payable for work-related injuries unless the injury was caused by serious and wilful misconduct.
